James “Tracey” is an advocate for cycling. He has served as a trainer, ride captain, and social media communicator for both the Mayor Taylor Cycling Club of North Carolina (which he founded) and the Easy Riders co-founded by James Davis and Harold James
James’s journey and passion for cycling began with a slight introduction by his friend one afternoon. An invite turned into a passion that has driven James to an unfound niche and love for what is now a focus tool used to promote his health and mental care, and a bridge as an advocate to the sportsmanship of cycling.
James “Tracey” has a great passion for cycling with a vision to promote the benefits of cycling through awareness and engagement to newcomers while enhancing the involvement of the advanced cyclist. James’s motivation is driven by the foundation legacy of the great African American cyclist Major Taylor, who was profound in the craft pathing yet another achievement for the culture with health and wealth benefits.
As the president of Major Taylor Cycling Club of South Carolina, James “Tracey” Davis will lead the charge in developing and building relationships among the community of South Carolina. James will bring schools, businesses, and community leaders together by utilizing cycling as the motivating bridge.
With the various events, programs, and sessions the communities within the boundaries of South Carolina will join the collaboration of many cities and states that have already benefited from the sportsmanship of cycling. Major Taylor Cycling Club South Carolina (MTCCSC) celebrates its beginning.
Residing in the great state of South Carolina, James is a native of New Jersey, raised in North Carolina, father, and husband. James enjoys researching history and traveling, graced with the talent of humor, James delights in making people laugh and smile using his wit, often changing the outcome of one’s day.
Linda Davis, President for Major Taylor South Carolina was introduced to the sport by her visionary and husband James Tracey Davis. Standing in the place as a partner, wife, and supporter, Linda partnered with James to make his vision and dream a reality, to have the largest cycling club in the state of South Carolina, that will promote the legacy of Marshall Mayor Taylor, support good health, influence positive social culture and fun, and close the gap of differences in our segregated world using cycling as the bridge.
Much can be said about her joy in coming into the knowledge of Major Taylor and his world influence while adjusting to using cycling as a sport, exercise, and a way of meeting new people in the sport.
Linda is a corporate liaison and holds dual master’s degrees MPA and MBA, Linda has a strong Christian background and loves the church.
Linda loves to inspire and encourage women, young ladies, and young men to live their best lives by making positive choices. Linda resides in South Carolina with the love of her life James Tracey Davis (deceased), and Prince her dachshund-chihuahua mix.
Anthony Lewis is a retired military professional who discovered his passion for
cycling in 2015. With an unwavering commitment to personal improvement, he dedicates himself to the sport,
constantly seeking new ways to enhance his skills and performance. Anthony's love for cycling extends beyond
personal achievement, as he finds joy in assisting and supporting fellow enthusiasts in their cycling endeavors.
His journey exemplifies a deep-seated dedication to both self-mastery and altruism, making him a valued figure.
